• Sun and warmth: Site in a sunny location facing south to south-east. Morning sunlight helps bees become active earlier in the day.

• Shelter: Place in a sheltered spot, protected from strong winds and heavy rain, such as against a wall, fence, or near a hedge.

• Stability: Ensure the bee hotel is firmly fixed and does not sway, as movement can deter nesting.

• Near flowers: Position close to flowering plants in borders or planters to provide easy access to food sources.

• Clear access: Keep the front unobstructed to allow bees a clear flight path in and out.

Maintenance
