It was also delivered quickly, which was important to me as my colony was growing rapidly!

Up until now I’ve been using my mentors equipment but decided it’s time to start my own equipment journey. Naturally I did what most people do and started out with the cheapest I could find. This one. For the price I paid, I wasn’t expecting a lot. I’ve been pleasantly surprised! It arrived flat packed and assembly was tricky as it didn’t have instructions. Thank goodness for a couple of years of beekeeping experience and some common sense! A “newbee” would find it very difficult. Once it was figured out it actually went together better and easier than Ikea furniture. No random sharp edges and it looks to be quite a nice finish. It’s sturdy and would you believe, came with the exact amount of screws needed too! Really impressed.

Good quality self assemble hive, all main hive held together with screws rather than the conventional nails.
The three I have bought have been nice clean pine without any knots.
