National 5 Frame Observation Hive - Pine

Our National Observation Hive is perfect for showcasing the inner workings of a hive in a fun and interactive way!

Simply take this 5 frame nuc box on the road and pull up one frame into the viewing compartment for a closer look. When you reach your destination, just remove the shutters to reveal! 

With mesh inserts covering holes in the ends and lid, there is constant ventilation for bees when they are in the hive. An excluder is placed in the divider and firm clasps to keep everything in place. Wooden entrance disc gives a both easy and secure entrance to the bees in the box so you can control the bees entrance when not in demonstrations.

We have added a bung to the top of the hive. This can be used as an entrance but primarily it is to allow the use of a contact feeder or similar to hydrate the bees in the observation hive, particularly in summer months. 

This hive also comes with an attached floor for easy set-up. Ideal for associations, beekeeping courses, classrooms or showrooms alike.
