Where to site your Nester

Make sure your nester is located away from feeders, and bird baths and kept out of prevailing winds. Position it between 1.5 – 3 meters high and ensure it faces between
north and southeast.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean out your nester annually in the late Summer/early Autumn. Remove the roof by unscrewing the single screw located on the side of the barrel. The barrel and hoops will age naturally to give an even more authentic look. However, you can treat the wood with an acrylic exterior wood finish every 2-3 years.
