- Description
Developed in collaboration with renowned naturalist and wildlife cameraman Simon King, this thoughtfully designed Brushwood Robin Nester is based on decades of observation, filming and in-depth knowledge of bird behaviour in the wild.
Robins prefer open-fronted nesting sites that allow easy access, while still offering protection from predators. This nester has been carefully designed to meet those needs: the entrance is open, but the nesting area is cleverly concealed behind a side wall and sheltered by an overhanging roof, creating a secure and discreet space.
Lightweight and versatile, the nester can be wired into hedges, ivy or shrubs, or fixed to a wall using the supplied spare loop of fixing wire. Its brushwood base closely mimics natural nesting materials, while a rattan landing platform with a low dividing wall provides a comfortable perch and separates the entrance from the nesting or roosting space.
Highly regarded for both form and function, the Brushwood Robin Nester was awarded Best New Product Design at GLEE in the Pet and Wildlife category. While ideal for robins, it is also suitable for other species that favour open-fronted nesters, including wagtails and spotted flycatchers.
Designed in the UK, this award-winning nester offers a practical and natural way to support garden birds while bringing you closer to wildlife.
