- Description
This nutritious mix of calcium worms and dried mealworms is the perfect high-energy treat for garden birds, combining essential protein with an exceptional natural source of calcium.
Calcium worms are the larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) and are prized for their outstanding nutritional profile. Naturally rich in protein, energy-giving fats and amino acids, they are also uniquely high in calcium, containing around 20–40 times more calcium than traditional dried insects such as mealworms. Calcium is vital for strong bones, eggshell formation and overall bird health.
Dried mealworms add further protein and flavour, making this mix especially appealing to insect-eating birds. Our mealworms are reared on a plant-based diet, ensuring they are safe to feed and provide the high-quality nutrition birds need — particularly during the breeding season, when energy demands are at their highest.
