- Description
The Ultimate Fat Balls by National Trust are a firm favourite with both birds and customers and it’s easy to see why. Made using premium ingredients including black sunflower seeds, chopped peanuts, cereals and natural oils, they provide a rich, reliable source of energy for garden birds all year round.
Each fat ball delivers an impressive 480 calories, helping wild birds stay strong, active and resilient in all weather conditions. The carefully balanced blend of fats, oils, seeds and nuts makes them highly nutritious and irresistibly appealing to a wide range of species.
Thanks to the no-lime recipe, these fat balls remain soft and easy to eat even during cold spells, while the high fat and oil content makes them equally suitable for summer feeding. Their moisture-repelling properties also help keep them fresher for longer in damp conditions.
Each 80g Ultimate Fat Ball is supplied without a plastic net, making them safer for birds and kinder to the environment. They can be placed in a fat ball feeder, on a bird table or on a ground tray, giving you plenty of flexibility in how you feed.
Regular visitors include blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, robins, starlings, house sparrows and woodpeckers, along with many other insect-eating garden birds. High-energy foods like these are especially important during colder months and throughout the nesting season.
Refill the tub with fat balls, time and time again. More food for the birds, less plastic waste for landfill!
Feeding and siting advice:

-
If feeding on the ground, use a ground tray and move it regularly to prevent the build-up of waste
